Hyderabad: TGES's Sahayathon a huge success
Hyderabad: The Global Edge School (TGES), conducted its second edition of 'Sahayathon', which means a run for a noble cause, in Hyderabad on Sunday. The initiative was a huge success among both the young and the old. Apart from students, people from all walks of life also participated in the event.
The event was inaugurated by M Jaipal Reddy, TGES Chairman, along with Swathi, MD, and Ranjitha Rao, MD-Operations. Jaipal Reddy and chief guest Dr Murtaza Husain Fida Ali- orthopedic surgeon, Founder, Chairman Modern Education Society & Hussain Charitable Trust flagged off the run.
School Principal Roshni Ramachandran said "We have conducted this event last year too. This is a charity run to fulfil the physiotherapy needs of economically backward people. This is our contribution to society. Also, Kapil Group is supporting this cause.
Thanks to Vaman Rao, who contributed close to Rs 5 lakh generously. Thanks to all our teachers who are volunteering for this event."
Around 800 persons participated in different categories including the 3K, 5K runs and 5K and 10K cycling.
Ranjita Rao, Director Operations TGES, said "This run is for a unique cause to help physiotherapy department. Many people don't even realize that physiotherapy is such an important factor in everyone's life.
So this cause is to run for physiotherapy with the help of Kapil Group of companies with Venue partner being The Global Edge."
