Hyderabad: Tourism & hospitality meet begins at NITHM

Gachibowli: The National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM), Hyderabad, Vidzeme University of Applied Science, Lativia, are jointly hosting the Second Joint International Conference on Tourism, Hospitality and Sustainable Development Goals from February 8 to 10 at the NITHM campus here. The conference was inaugurated by Minister for Prohibition & Excise, V Srinivas Goud

More than 72 International delegates from over 18 countries, along with delegates from within India as well are participating the conference. The five international universities that are collaborating for the conference are: University of Africa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, South Valley University- Luxor Branch, Arab Republic of Egypt, Takoradi Technical University, Ghana, The Engineering and Pedagogical College of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and University of Birjand, Birjan, Iran.

The aim of the conference is to provide a platform to the wide range of scholars, policymakers, practitioners and other tourism stakeholders to discuss debate and deliberate on the role, issues, and challenges of achieving SDGs through Tourism and Hospitality.

NITHM is hosting this conference for faculty, research scholars, Industry stakeholders from both the tourism and the hospitality industry to help enrich their knowledge with panel sessions; paper presentations and use this platform to its maximum benefits. As part of the conference, around 70 researchers are presenting papers. Apart from researchers, around 40 speakers are taking part in various panel discussions on topic ranging from adventure tourism to entrepreneurship.
