Inter result delay will not cost students anything, says TSBIE

Hyderabad: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) officials dismissed allegations of delay in the announcement of results and missing of answer sheets. According to TSBIE sources, the Board had announced the results on April 14 last year and the delay of four days in the announcement of results for the current batch of final intermediate will not in any way affect the students.

Speaking to The Hans India, a senior official said that drawing a comparison between the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (APBIE) and TSBIE is not justified. Because on an earlier occasion both the boards have started examinations around the same time. However, there were attempts by unscrupulous elements to spread rumours about the leakage of questions papers.

"Syllabus of the Intermediate course is almost similar for the students in both the States. But false rumours were found to be misleading students while preparations were on during their examinations," he added.

He said that announcing the final intermediate results on April 18 will not in any way adversely affect the students. Because, there is sufficient time for the students to seek admissions into degree courses through Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST). The DOST registrations and the actual first round of counselling will start

only in the month of May this year and the students passing their Intermediate Public Examination (IPE)-2019 will be receiving their mark lists by the time the DOST portal opens for registrations, the sources said.

Similarly, the announcement of results on April 18 is not in any way going to create any problem for those who have cleared National Engineering Entrance Test-2019 (NEET-2019) to take part in the counselling process.

Initially, the students can download their marks lists made available after the announcement of the results. The Board is taking care of issuance of the original mark lists for the students to ensure that they will not face any problem while seeking admissions into degree or other professional courses, the official said.

Similarly, students can also physically verify their answer papers after the announcement of results by paying the fee prescribed. So far, no issue has come to the notice of the Board about missing of any answer papers, the official said.
