IT Grids CEO Ashok fails to appear before SIT, police launch hunt
The main accused in a data theft case, Chairman of IT Grids India Private Limited Company D Ashok is still absconding from the Telangana police. After cases registered on him in Madhapur, KPHB and on SR Nagar police stations on allegations of misusing the personal and sensitive data related to Andhra Pradesh people, he absconded from his office by taking key documents and hard discs. Cyberabad police and Hyderabad police have issued notices to him to appear before them and furnish the information regarding the data theft case.
Later during the investigation when the police found that the IT Grids company was also having the personal and sensitive data relating to the people of Telangana, the state government constituted SIT (Special Investigation Team) to unearth the data theft case speedily. SIT officials under its chief IG Stephen Raveendra have intensified their investigation and issued notices to Ashok to appear before them at SIT office at Goshamahal Police Grounds on Wednesday. When he has not appeared before them, the SIT officials are making efforts to arrest him through a court order.
On the other hand, four special teams are making efforts to nab Ashok. Meanwhile, Ashok approached the High Court and requested to extend the time to surrender before court.
