ITDA Governing Body meeting held: Collector

Khammam: A website for giving details on developmental and welfare activities of Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Bhadrachalam would be launched soon, District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini said on Tuesday.

He was addressing the ITDA Governing Body meeting here on Tuesday. The meeting was the first one to be held after the creation of new districts and after a gap of 35 months. Effective measures to take the benefits of the welfare schemes being implemented by the State government to the beneficiaries at grassroots level would be made.

There was a need for teamwork among the officials to achieve this, the Collector said. The issues raised by the elected representatives would be listed in the minutes of the meeting (MoM) and due action would be taken to address them.

The copies of the MoM would be sent to the concern legislators, Saini added. The Collector and the ITDA Project Officer VP Gautham explained the development activities being carried out by different departments.

Legislators and elected members of local bodies raised many issues related to development and welfare of tribals and wanted steps to resolve them.ZP chairpersons K Kanakaiah, L Kamalraj and A Bindu of Kothagudem, Khammam and Mahabubabad, MP M Kavitha, MLCs B Lakshminarayana and A Narsi Reddy, MLAs V Venkateswar Rao, R Kantha Rao, P Veeraiah and others were present.
