Kamareddy: Pay wages to private sector workers says Collector Sharath
Kamareddy: District Collector Dr A Sharath said that wages should be paid to the workers working in private companies, grocery, medical and fertiliser shops at a meeting held here on Monday under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Trade.
The Collector directed that shops should be kept open from 9 am to 5 pm and warned that stringent action will be taken against the traders if they create artificial scarcity of goods.
Asking the people, who come out to shops, to maintain social distance, he suggested the merchants should offer home delivery to consumers, who choose goods online.
He also suggested to keep the premises of shops and other business centres clean and hygienic.
Speaking at the meeting, Superintendent of Police N Swetha Reddy directed the police staff to arrange barricades to restrict vehicle movement.
Stating that she came to know that some merchants are selling goods at higher prices, she warned that criminal cases will be filed against such merchants. A Control Room was set up at the Collector's office to provide information about any sort of problems.
The meeting was attended by Additional Collector Yadireddy, Commerce of Chambers president Gajawada Ravi, merchants and district officials.
