Urban development possible with collective efforts: Collector Sharath

Kamareddy: The development of Kamareddy Urban is possible with the collective effort, stated District Collector Dr A Sharath. He toured wards 14, 15, 24 and 33 in the town on Tuesday and interacted with the locals.

Speaking with the public, the Collector observed that many problems can be solved during Pattana Pragathi programme. He suggested the officials that short-term plans should be made to address the problems prevailing in the town. He said that the government's goal is to develop the towns comprehensively and 10 per cent of the municipal revenue will be used for increasing greenery. He stressed that maintenance of sanitation and Haritha Haram are top priority.

The Collector suggested the officials to seek donor support for taking up various development works. The colony people complained to the Collector that the drainage system in ward 24 is inadequate and the Collector ordered ward special officer Rajender Kumar to immediately address the problem.

Additional Collector Venkatesh, Assistant Collector Tejas Nandalal, Municipal Chairperson Nittu Jahnavi, vice-chairperson Indirapriya, ward councillors and others were present on the occasion.
