Khammam: Tribal Development Agency to make changes in education system

Khammam: Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) is planning to take up several changes in the teaching methods to the tribal students of Ashram Schools in the wake of lockdown.

There are 50 Ashram Schools and 14 hostels under ITDA limits with about 18,000 students studying from 3rd to 9th class. ITDA Project Officer

action plan so that students will not loss the academic year if the lockdown continues.

The officials have planned to set up thermal screening at all schools and every student should wear mask besides using sanitiser before entering into the classroom. The officials are also planning to set up isolation centres at all schools and to make social distance mandatory. It is also decided to reduce class duration from 45 minutes to 35 minutes to reduce work burden on the faculty.

The officials have planned to divide students into A, B and C sections with 20 students per class. Two students will be allowed to sit on a bench and students will not be send to home till two months. It is also decided to provide special training to teachers.

But no space for practicals, meetings and sports till further instructions by the government.

Speaking to The Hans India, Bhadrachalam ITDA Deputy Director SK Zahiruddin said that they have prepared special action plan to ensure that the students will not loss the academic year'. 'We are focusing to provide quality education besides good health to the tribal students and giving high priority to sanitation in all schools,' he added.
