Kothagudem development on fast track : Mahmood Ali
Kothagudem: Bhadradri-Kothagudem has been making fast progress in terms of execution of developmental projects, stated Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali in his address after hoisting the national flag in the city.
The Home Minister took the guard of honour during the Independence Day parade at Kothagudem on the occasion. He said that the process of land acquisition is under progress for Kothagudem to Sathupalli broad gauge railway line as well as Manugur-Singareni line for which 512.14 acres and 199.24 acres lands have been acquired for the respective projects.
He informed that in order to promote sporting skills among the youth the State government has sanctioned five mini-stadiums in the district. Works are under progress at Pinapaka and Paloncha while search for a suitable site was going on in other three Assembly constituencies.
Works related to a sports complex proposed to be built at the cost of Rs 17 crore in Kothagudem would soon be launched, Ali informed. New bridges were built at eight places and works are underway at three places. The construction of new Integrated Collectorate Complex, being built at the cost of Rs 45 crore, was going on at a fast pace, he added.
The Home Minister distributed assets to select beneficiaries under different departments. He inspected Int Inta Innovator exhibition where the exhibits by students were displayed and appreciated the students.
Zilla Praja Parishad Chairman Koram Kanakaiah, MLAs Vanama Venkateswar Rao and B Haripriya, District Library Chairman D Rajender, Collector Rajat Kumar Saini, Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt, Joint Collector K Venkateswarlu, DEO D Vasanthi and others were present.
