KTR to launch Pattana Pragati programme in Palamuru on Feb 24

Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister KT Rama Rao will be touring in Palamuru on February 24. The minister will launch the newly proposed Pattana Pragati Programme, said Excise Minister Srinivas Goud.

Srinivas Goud made arrangements in the view of the TRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao's visit to Palamuru. Goud inspected all the wards on Friday to take stock of the arrangements being made.

He said that the government has initiated the development of towns by setting up 70 new municipalities and 12 corporations in the state. The minister hoped that the KT Rama Rao's visit to Palamuru should become a grand success.

Pattana Pragati will be taken up in all 141 urban local bodies in the state from February 24. The programme is said to be focusing on Haritha Haram, Sanitation, community toilets, integrated vegetable and non-veg markets, parks and more.

Around Rs 156 crore has been released to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Rs 140 crore to the municipalities under 14th Finance Commission grants for February and March.
