Low pressure in Bay of Bengal by Nov 23

Hyderabad: A low pressure area is likely to form over the Central parts of south Bay of Bengal around November 23, under the influence of a cyclonic circulation lying over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining south-east Bay. The IMD bulletin said on Friday that the low pressure area is likely to concentrate into a depression over the south-west Bay and move west­north-westwards towards the Sri Lanka­Tamil Nadu coast during subsequent 48 hours.

Meanwhile, the night temperatures in the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, registered an appreciable fall ranging from 2.1 to 4 deg C in some parts of Telangana. They rose appreciably in some other areas by 2.1 to 4 deg C at one or two places. The temperatures were markedly above normal by 5 deg C or more at one or two places and appreciably above normal by 3.1 to 5 deg C at most places in the State.

The IMD bulletin said the lowest minimum temperature of 18.6 deg C was recorded in Dundigal. The other temperatures elsewhere in the State were: Hyderabad (19.4), Hakimpet & Medak (19.6) each, Bhadrachalam & Nalgonda (20) each, Mahbubnagar (20.5), Ramagundam (21), Adilabad & Hanamkonda (21.5) each, Nizamabad (21.8), and Khammam (23).
