MLA Arekapudi launches 1.54 crore underground drainage works

Madhapur: Serilingampally MLA and Government Whip Arekapudi Gandhi on Monday launched underground drainage (UGD) works costing over Rs 1.54 crore in Adityanagar, Krishna Colony, Kanamet, Aparna Orchids, Sainagar and Harijan Basti areas of Madhapur division in the presence of local Corporator V Jagdishwar Goud, GHMC DE Rupadevi, AE Prashanth and local TRS party leaders.

Addressing gatherings, Goud assured the residents to develop every colony and locality in the division. He said the State government was devoting special attention to the development of Greater Hyderabad by creating basic facilities. The Corporator stated that the State budget allocated Rs 10,000 crore to GHMC this year. He conveyed gratitude to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister K Tarakarama Rao for allocating funds with development as the mantra.

The works for which the MLA laid the foundation include : UGD pipeline in Adityanagar Road no.1,9 & 10, Krishna Colony 17th street (Rs 39.4 lakh); UGD in Kanamet & Aparna Orchids (Rs 56.50 lakh); pipeline in Sainagar, Vijayalakshni Super Market (Rs 39.65 lakh); and, UGD pipeline restoration in Harijan Basti (Rs.19 lakh).

Among the party activists present were Jayaraj Yadav, Srinivas Goud, Madusudhan Reddy, Krishna Goud, Jangayya Yadav, Sahadev, Balakrishna, Gopal Naik, Mohan Naik, Hanya Naik, Shyam, Subash Yadav, Brammayya Yadav, Arjun, Balayya, Srinivas, Adityanagar Basti and TRS Basti committee president Quasim, minority wing chief Babumia, Muktar, Ramakrishna and residents of colonies.
