Moghalpura: The Telangana State Minority Employees Welfare Association (MEWA) affiliated to All India Minority Employees Federation (New Delhi) on Sunday announced its support to two candidates Narsi Reddy Alugubelli (Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal MLC constituency) and B Kodal Reddy (Karimnagar-Nizambad-Medak-Adilabad MLC constituency), who are the common candidates put up by organisations represented by teachers and lecturers.

The employee leaders who held a meeting, resolved to back the candidates.

This was later announced by the Association president, Md Masooduddin Ahmed and other leaders.

The leaders felt that it was high time that candidates who would take up causes and highlight grievances of the teachers should get the backing in these MLC elections.

They pointed out that despite formation of Telangana, the issues related to the employees were not resolved, as promised, but on the contrary no one are allowed to speak up undermining the rights under freedom of expression.

"Since the bifurcation blues with regard to employees were not resolved, including transfer of employees between AP and Telangana, clarity over PRC, contract, outsourcing employment and regulation, we have decided that someone with willpower would take up the matters with the government. Hence we have decided to support these two candidates as the First Prevential Candidate," said Masooduddin.
