Model Schools yielding good results in Adilabad district

Adilabad: Telangana Model Schools are progressing and doing well in academically backward zones. These schools are scoring better results compared to private schools in Adilabad district. Students in large numbers are coming forward to get admission in Government English Medium Schools, as they believe of getting quality education. Special hostels have been established for girl students in Model Schools.

The Telangana State government had opened first Model School in 2013. Now there are 14 schools in Adilabad district - Bazarhathnoor, Jainad, Narnoor, Gudi Hatnoor, Boath, Dandepalli, Mandamarri, Mancherial, Kasipeta, Kothapally, Kuntala and Asifabad mandals. The government had issued notification for admission into TS Model Schools for the academic year of 2020-21 for 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10th classes. The admissions will be through a common entrance test, i.e., TSMS CET 2020. The admission test will be conducted on April 12.

Last date for applying for admission into 6th class is February 29. Last date for applying admission into 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th classes is March 2. Results will be announced on May 20.

Mancherial District Education Officer S Venkateshwarlu said that Model Schools are delivering good results. He told all the eligible students to apply through online mode only at http://telanganams.cgg.gov.in. Selection process will be done through entrance test. Each class will be have 80 students. These institutions are co-educational and follow State syllabus with Telugu as the first language up to 10th class.

Model schools are the venue for educational development in the district. For this purpose, talented students will be selected and given special training in the form of classes and entrance exams.
