Hyderabad: Former president of Pradesh Congress Committee Ponnala Laxmaiah on Wednesday said that people were able to understand the failures of TRS party in its second term in government.

In a live session in Facebook, he said that on the occasion of first anniversary of the second term of the TRS government, people have understood its failures. He said that the State's financial condition has been crippled and the TRS has been throwing the blame on the economic crisis.

He said that the State achieved a dubious distinction of becoming debt ridden richest State. He said that the debt burden on the State has reached Rs 3 lakh crore. Laxmaiah said that the State is in second place in failure of law and order. Murders, atrocities against women and unrest have become order of the day, he said. The State was behind Bihar in literacy rate, he added.

The former PCC president said that nothing has been said on providing monthly allowance to unemployed youth. As much as 50 per cent of the farmers did not receive Rythu Bandhu scheme benefit.

The services of the contract employees were not regularised, and no new employment has been created. Payments have been stopped to reimbursements and to Arogyasri.

He wanted to know whether the Gajwel tour of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was a government programme or TRS party event. He wanted to know from the Chief Minister as to how many houses have been constructed for the homeless.
