NZB election: Farmers want ballot paper instead of EVMs
Hyderabad: A few contestants (farmers) from Nizamabad who entered Lok Sabha electoral fray as independents came to Hyderabad to meet Telangana CEO Rajat Kumar on Tuesday.
They requested authorities to conduct the election using ballot papers only instead of EVMs as they are not used to electronic machines and their working.
Also, no training programme was conducted by district or State authorities for scores of independents on this process, the farmers told authorities.
The contestants requested authorities to consider postponing the election as only a few days are left for the polling day (April 11).
The farmers' delegation earlier met Joint CEO Amrapali Kata and brought their demands to her notice.
