Hyderabad: A delegation of Telangana Parents Association (TPA), Srinidhi Engineering College Parents Association (SECP) and Vasavi Engineering Colleges Parents Association (VECPA) on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Telangana Admission and Fee Regulation Committee (TAFRC) Chairman, Justice P Swaroop Reddy, urging him to implement the Supreme Court judgement on fee regulation immediately.

It may be mentioned here that the Srinidhi and Vasavi Engineering Colleges had gone to the apex court on the issue of fee increase in the Engineering Colleges.

The VECPA and SECPA opposed the same. The court rejecting the submissions of the colleges has reiterated that the TAFRC alone is the competent authority to fix the fee.

It was against this backdrop that the ( VECPA) president C Srinadh and (SECPA)president G Srinivas and TPA chairman N Narayana met the TAFRC Chairman and asked him to implement the judgment of the court.

Responding to the plea by the parents association, the Chairman appreciated the efforts of the parents leading to get a favourable verdict.

He promised to implement the judgment of the court and asked the parents to be on alert on the issue of fee regulation issue.

TPA president N Narayana said the judgement would go a long way in giving the much-needed relief to the parents of the Vasavi and Srinidhi engineering colleges, he added.
