Parties plan mega public meetings
Vikarabad: With Lok Sabha election date fast approaching, the major parties are leaving no stone unturned to reach to the voters and woo them. Congress, BJP and TRS chiefs are preparing to organise public meetings in the district.
Leaders of the parties said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Congress leader and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and cine actor Chiranjeevi will participate in the public meetings. Only seven days are left for the campaign. So, all parties are trying various kinds of methods to attract people.
State Chief Minister KCR will be attending a large public function at Kothrepally in Vikarabad on April 8. Local leaders are making arrangements for this meeting. Congress candidate Vishweshwar Reddy is still moving forward without taking help from star campaigners.
But, as the elections are in close proximity, he is now focusing on impressing people by infusing energy into rank and file. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi is expected to open a large public meeting in Manneguda. At the same time, Megastar Chiranjeevi is also invited to the meeting to add film glamour.
The BJP is also making arrangements to hold huge public meetings in the district with national leaders. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be arriving on April 5. A meeting with the activists of Vikarabad, Tandur, Parigi and Chevella constituencies will be held in Vikarabad.
The BJP leaders have claimed that a star campaigner will promote each constituency for Serilingampally, Maheshwaram and Rajendranagar constituencies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already addressed a public meeting in Hyderabad. It is learnt that several roadshows are planned with national leaders.
