RTC bus depots asked to generate more revenues: Collector
Jagitial: Concerned over falling revenues, District Collector A Sharath on Saturday ordered the managers of the bus depots to run the bus services as usual for generating more revenue besides analysing the income generated earlier and after the RTC strike.
The Collector held a meeting with the managers of bus depots in the Jagitial district. He asked them to concentrate on bus depots from where less amount of money is generated and try to make up the shortfall by running more bus services.
"How the bus services used to run previously, take step to run the buses in the same manner," he said. "Give rewards to the temporary employees who are bringing more collections from the bus routes that are allotted to them like that of permanent employees and write their names on the notice board as an encouragement to them," he suggested.
He also asked the bus depot managers to take stern actions against the erring bus conductors. "Remove the temporary conductors and bus drivers who are not issuing tickets to the passengers but are collecting the money from them.
Run the bus services during the night how they used to be run earlier without creating any inconvenience to the people, directed Collector A Sharath. District Joint Collector B Rajesham, Metpalli Sub-Collector Gautham Potru and Transport Officer Kishan and bus depot managers attended the meeting.
