Hyderabad: RTC JAC has decided to announce their future course of action on Sunday. The JAC leaders expressed hope that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would take a proper decision in his review meeting to decide on the future of the public transport system in the State.

Various RTC unions that are part of JAC held a meeting at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) on Saturday. Later briefing the media, JAC convenor Ashwathama Reddy rued the indifferent attitude of the government despite their statement to withdraw stir made three days ago.

He made it clear that the RTC employees' strike was on. Further, he said that the JAC would inform the RTC managing director of its stand.

Commenting on privatisation, the JAC leader tried to allay fears of the corporation staff. He said that the government cannot take a unilateral decision.

As part of their daily protests being held during the ongoing stir, RTC women staff would pay tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof Jayashankar and hold dharnas in front of bus depots across the State.

In Hyderabad, a similar protest would be held at MGBS where JAC leaders would also take part, he said.

Meanwhile, tension prevailed near depots in various districts as the striking workers as part of "Save RTC" protest tried to barge into bus stations and depots forcefully despite police preventing them.

In Khammam, the striking workers obstructed buses and deflated bus tyres and clashed with temporary staff and also the police.
