RTC staff yet to get Sept salary in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The TSRTC employees, including those who reported to the duty on October 5, are yet to get their salaries for the month of September and it is not sure how long they would have to wait for the salary since the officials said that they had no instructions from the government.
According to the officials, the government has not given any instructions to the management on disbursing the salaries to the staff. The RTC workers used to get their salaries between third to fifth of every month. However, the management has not deposited the salary of September till date.
The RTC workers under the JAC have been boycotting their duties from October 5 ignoring the ultimatum of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who asked them to report to duties or get dismissed.
High Court senior advocate Chikkudu Prabhakar said that the government has no right to stop the salaries of the workers. He said the Chief Minister was acting like a private company owner. He recalled that there was a case in Kalaburgi where the court said that the government cannot stop the salary of a worker even for 24 hours.
