SC body leader Srisailam attacked at Press Club

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, unidentified assailants attacked National Schedule Caste Parirakshan Samiti president Karne Srisailam while he was addressing a press meet at the Press Club here on Tuesday.

In a complaint lodged by Press Club of Hyderabad manager P Vijay Kumar with the Panjagutta police, he stated that on Tuesday afternoon when Karne Srisailam was addressing the media, ten unidentified miscreants infiltrated into the Press Club and started attacking Srisailam with media logos and chairs.

Srisailam was forcefully dragged out of the hall. The miscreants attacked the media persons also when they tried to stop the attack.

Later, another 30 unidentified persons came to the club and warned the media and created a ruckus in the club.

Karne Srisailam met the Governor on Monday and submitted him a memorandum regarding irregularities in Gurukul Pathshala (residential schools for SC/ST in Telangana).

In that regard, Srisailam called a press meet on Tuesday. At least two cameras of news channels broke during the ruckus.
