Drinking water pipeline works

Secunderabad: Cantonment Board member Sada Keshav Reddy said that measures are being taken to make ward number 2 as an ideal ward in the board. He was speaking in a programme to launch works for a drinking water pipeline taken up at a cost of Rs 4 lakh at Rasoolpura Gun Bazar on Wednesday.

Speaking during his basti yatra conducted in Rasoolpura, he said that efforts were being made to find permanent solutions to various public issues. As part of the initiative, the state government had been developing underground drainage, CC roads, streetlights and sewerage works, he said. He also advised locals to take proper precautions such as washing hands and maintaining personal hygiene to prevent spread of Coronavirus.

During 'Basti yatra', some locals complained that they were facing inconvenience due to foul smell emanating from a blocked drainage. Keshav Reddy instructed the officials to undertake clearing of the blockage at the earliest.

Among those who participated in Basti Yatra were local leaders Ashok Goud, Jabbar, Khaja, Aziz, Sardar Begum, Lakshmamma, Lakshmi, Ibrahim, Yousuf, Jafar and others.
