Secunderabad: Dy Speaker Padma Rao, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan review developmental works
Secunderabad: In a meeting held at GHMC main office with corporators and officials, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and Deputy Speaker Padma Rao reviewed the status of various ongoing development works taken up in Secunderabad Assembly Constituency. Discussions were held on new proposals, nala widening, sanitation, Basti Dawakhanas, public toilets, development of parks and their maintenance, road widening, Tukaram gate under bridge works and streetlights.
CEs Sridhar, Zia Uddin, Zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, Discom director and others participated in the meeting.
The decisions taken during the meeting include adding 40 new swachh autos, construction of 100 toilets in the constituency, sending proposals for 10 additional Basti Dawakhanas in the constituency and others.
Deputy speaker said that that Rs 24 crore was given to those who lost their houses in land acquisition for road widening taken up at Lalapet. He said that 174 power bore wells were dug up to prevent water scarcity in the constituency. Shantinagar and Tarnaka water reservoirs would be made operational shortly, he said, adding that, proposals for construction of five community halls would be sent.
Padma Rao instructed officials to complete the construction of 419 double bedroom houses to be given to beneficiaries in the constituency at the earliest.
