Secunderabad: Journalist gets honorary doctorate

Secunderabad: Telangana working journalist federation (TWJF) state president and senior journalist was awarded honorary doctorate in journalism for 2020 by Global Human Peace University based in Chennai. The award would be presented in the university convocation programme to be held in the first week of April.

Somaiah has thirty years of experience as journalist and has been actively participating in several social service activities through MRF Foundation, which he established in the memory of his father Mamidi Ramaiah. Last year, he received 'Life Time Achievement' award from union minister G Kishan Reddy on the occasion of International Teachers Day. He also received 'Patrikeya Shiromani' award instituted by Shruthilaya Arts Academy from the Telangana Minister for culture Srinivas Goud last year.
