Set up national design institute in TS: BB Patil

Zaheerabad: BB Patil, MP representing Zaheerabad parliament constituency, has demanded that the central government to establish national design institute in TS. Participating in a discussion on the design bill tabled in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, he said the design institutes would promote business and employment opportunities in the region.

The bill would help in promoting extensive research in the area of design in India. The institutes would help provide skilled designers who can provide their services to various industrial sectors.

Patil urged the Central government to establish a national design institute in Telangana as a national institute was established in the erstwhile united state in Vijayawada. As the Telangana was separated from the erstwhile united state, there is a need to establish one in the state as well, he said.
