Siddipet City Police Act in force till Dec 31

Siddipet: City Police Act is being implemented in the limits of Commissionerate from Monday. As per the act, dharnas, rallies, rasta rokos meetings are prohibited till the end of this month. In case of organising such events, a prior permission from the police is mandatory.

Action will be taken against the people who force educational institutions and shops to shut down in the name of protests, said Commissioner Joel Davis in a statement here on Sunday. He appealed to the people to extend cooperation to the police in keeping the law and order in the city.
