Stop burning of tree abranches: Sainikpuri Locals

Sainikpuri: This year, the rainfall has caused in the fall of many trees in the city. The trees that fell near the Basketball Court at Sainikpuri Club in Sainikpuri were chopped off and then burnt in the plot itself.

A Madhav, a resident, said, "The burning of the trees branches and leaves is causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents of the nearby plots. The workers have been coming and burning the leftover branches and trees from the past 3 days. We have been inhaling the smoke, which is very harmful for our health."

"Rather than burning of the tree trunks and leaves, they could have used them for several other purposes. The burning of the trunk and leaves here is causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents. Even if the workers were to burn the tree trunks, they should have done it at some other place, which is away from the colonies," said Ch Akhila, another resident.
