Drainage overflows, locals slam GHMC

Sainikpuri: The residents of Plot no 541 and 542 Defence Colony Sainikpuri are distressed upon a drain overflowing for the past one week.

The locals alleged the authorities were neglecting their duties and not clearing the premises on a regular basis. Garbage cleaning, drainage overflowing, mosquitoes are some major problems that the society residents face during monsoon.

A local resident shared, "This is a yearly problem that we are facing here. The society officials have tried contacting the civic authorities many times but no one answered as they are least bothered. Mosquitoes have increased because of the stagnant water and a malodorous smell assaults you when you step out."
