Drainage overflows causing hardships to commuters
Temple Alwal: Overflow of the sewage has become a common sight in Saipuram Colony. It has been causing severe hardships to the locals travelling in this area. It also has become a challenge for the locals over here to deal with it every day.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, Vaibhavi R, a local, said, "This stagnated sewage has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes which has increased over here. As the sewage water gets accumulated in front of the houses, it is becoming very difficult to travel from that area due the recent rains."
Durgesh P, a resident, said, "The locals here gave several complaints to the officials concerned about the issue and also requested the municipality to repair the drainage line before the monsoon starts, but no step has been taken yet.
Despite several complaints, verbal and posting message through the social media, the water is still getting accumulated in front of the houses, and it is becoming difficult for the pedestrians to cross the path."
