Drainage overflows; pleas to GHMC in vain

Tulasi Nagar: The residents of Tulasi Nagar are facing severe trouble and inconvenience due to drainage water overflowing on the road. The civic officials removed debris from the manholes but dumped it on the main road. Rahim, a resident said, "Due to continuous flow of water, the roads are damaged too."

With no proper road, the drain water is not flowing down to the nala. The water is stagnating in the street for days. It has turned dark greenish in colour and is breeding mosquitoes, giving sleepless nights to the residents nearby.

Some unknown people are dumping household waste in the drain water. "Seeing the condition of this road and drainage overflow, one can understand how much hardships we are facing. We request the GHMC officials concerned to respond immediately in this issue," says Raghavachary, a local resident of Tulasi Nagar.
