Addressing the media, the agitating leaders highlighted the undemocratic roles played by the SEC and police at the behest of the TRS-led State government.
They highlighted how the ruling party had brought in its cadre from outside of the city and stationed them in different municipal divisions for the distribution of money and liquor to influence the voters.
Also, how the Ministers, MLAs and leaders of the TRS were allowed to stay in the city by hiring function halls, and the police turning a blind towards the violation of poll code to benefit the ruling TRS. The BJP leaders ended their fast with Union Minister G Kishan Reddy offering them lemon water.
