Woman eaten by pigs after death in Achampet

In a horrific incident, a woman's body was eaten by pigs near the bus stand at Achampet of Nagarkurnool district on Saturday midnight. The woman who had earned her livelihood through begging is said to be ill for the last few days and died in sleep.

It is learned that the woman used to take shelter in the bus stand at night. Locals found a pack of stray pigs were feeding on the woman's dead body and alerted the police. The police shifted the body to a hospital for post-mortem. The locals complained despite repeated complaints the local authorities were not removing the pigs from the area.

In a similar incident occurred in April 2020, a four-year-old boy died after he was attacked and his body partially eaten by pigs at Singareni colony in Saidabad. The child who went out to play in an isolated area near his house was attacked by the pigs.

Some persons who noticed the badly bitten body of the child immediately informed about it to the police.
