Talking to media later, Ravinder Reddy said that their recent meeting with the chief minister had created many speculations from different quarters.

He said whenever they have met the chief minister, they have only discussed about the problems of the employees.

Reddy said that on Wednesday they would meet Chief Secretary SK Joshi and discuss about the issues of the workers.

RTC JAC Convenor E Ashwathama Reddy said that the TNGOs supported the TSRTC workers during the Telangana agitation.

"We participated in Telangana with many aspirations, but they are not fulfilled even after five years. We expected there will be bus services to all villages in Telangana but that has not happened so far.

Government did not fill the vacancies and also failed to release the dues to the tune of Rs 2,400 crore," said Reddy, adding they have gone to strike after exploring all the options.

The JAC Convenor said that the RTC workers were getting very less salaries and were not paid as per the works they do. Government is selling away the RTC properties and the workers have decided to go on strike to save the properties and also the employees, he alleged.

The RTC JAC co-convenor K Raji Reddy, TGO leader V Mamata and others were also present.
