Tribals water woes a cry in wilderness

Peddemul: Water woes are on the rise in Kandanelli Thanda in the mandal. Drinking water has become precious commodity for the residents. It's a herculean task for the poor tribals to fetch a pot of water every day.

They have to struggle a lot along with family members right from the morning. They are filling their pots wherever drinking water pipeline leaks. Though, the leakages are at filthy areas or dangerous spots, they reach there for survival.

They said officials, representatives of people did not respond despite several requests. Women of the Thanda appeal the authorities to take necessary steps to address the drinking water issue in the Thanda.
