TRS parliamentary party meeting today in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Ahead of the winter session of the Parliament from November 18, the TRS President and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao convened the TRS parliamentary party meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Friday.
Party working President KT Rama Rao was also invited to attend the meeting and finalise the party strategy during the session. Party sources said that Rama Rao was also entrusted with the responsibility of sending MP delegations to the union ministers to resolve the long pending Telangana State issues.
The issues mainly the fulfilment of promises made under the AP Reorganisation Act will be taken up by the MPs in the both houses of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.
Sanctioning of Bayyaram steel plant and the establishment of Horticulture and Tribal university were among the issues pending before the Central government since 2014.
The demand for national project status to Kaleshwaram project and central assistance to complete the Mission Bhagiratha scheme will also be raised. Enhancement of quota for STs and Muslims in the education and employment was also pending for years. Seeking more central funds under various schemes will also be included in the agenda of parliamentary party meeting.
