Vikarabad: MLA Methuku Anand's palle nidra in Naik Thanda
Vikarabad: As part of the 'palle nidra' programme, MLA Dr Methuku Anand visited Lachha Naik Thanda gram panchayat on Wednesday. He held a meeting with people of the Thanda in gram panchayat office and explained the aim of 'palle nidra' programme. He rested for the night in the village's government school. On Thursday morning he visited all the wards in the Thanda and inspected how residents are segregating wet and dry wastes. Later, he inspected saplings planted under Hartha Haram programme. He called upon everyone to plant more saplings and raise them.
Later, the MLA visited the government school enquired about illiterates in the village. He said the responsibility of achieving 100% literacy rate lay with everyone and asked the educated to contribute their part. He also visited Somla Naik Thanda and Mittiya Naik Thanda under Lachha Naik Thanda Gramapanchayat. People brought to his notice on the amenities required that include drinking water, road facility, electricity and pensions.
