Villagers protest on road over water woes in Yadadri-Bhongir

Mothkur (Yadadri-Bhongir): Demanding regular supply of drinking water, residents of Dattappagudem village, Mothkur mandal in the district staged a protest on the main road with empty pots. Traffic came to a grinding halt on both sides of the road due to the protest.

Protesting women expressed their anguish over the water woes and questioned the government about the status of its flagship programme Mission Bagiratha and rememinded the promises of ruling party leaders during the Assembly, Parliament and local body elections campaign.

They demanded officials and people's representatives to address their water woes on war footing.

They withdrew their protest on assurance of the local body leaders.
