Warangal: Badminton tourney concludes
Warangal : Youth must have passion for the sports, Central Zone DCP, Hanumakonda, Md. Bari said. Speaking at the valedictory of Warangal District Badminton Association (WDBA) affiliated to the Badminton Association of Telangana (BAT) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) here on Saturday, he said that parents should encourage their wards to participate in the sports activities right from the childhood. Bari said that sports keep youth away from bad habits such as smoking, high-speed driving, drugs etc. He told students to focus on physical fitness, besides academics. He told the students to dream big and work hard to realize it.
BAT vice president, WDBA general secretary and administrative officer of the KITSW Prof. Pingili Ramesh Reddy said that the academics and sports indicate a multidimensional growth of the students. “Keep the Warangal flag flying high by excelling in sports. The competition among the players in the WDBA tournament is really tough,” Reddy said.
