Warangal: With the government allowing transportation of travellers through private players, the Hanamkonda bus station on Saturday morning is abuzz with cars and jeeps.
Although the RTC had made arrangements for running the buses by engaging others in the wake of staff's strike from Friday midnight, a large number of cars and jeeps were seen ferrying the passengers. A very few buses were seen plying with the staff engaged by the RTC authorities.
RTC Warangal general manager A Sridhar said that they have so far ensured 40 hired buses take roads. Efforts are on to run more number of hired buses, he said. Safety of people is paramount, he said, referring to the temporary recruitment of private drivers.
