Warangal: Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said Efforts on to turn farming profitable

Raiparthy/Narsampet (Warangal Rural): The TRS government is firm on turning agriculture profitable, Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said, referring to the welfare measures launched by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Distributing pattadar passbooks to farmers here on Monday, he claimed that no government in the past had ever thought of initiating welfare programmes that help farmers concretely. Earlier, the Minister had inaugurated the bus station.

"Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) is one such a huge initiative aimed at irrigating the parched lands of north Telangana. In about a couple of years, farmers would get surplus waters through KLIP. All the tanks and water bodies would be filled so that agriculture sector would get a huge fillip," Errabelli said. The Minister said that KCR is hellbent to make TSRTC self-sufficient within a year. This apart, KCR will take care of RTC employees, he added.

Errabelli said that the TRS government's initiative land record updation programme (LRUP) is of immense help to the landowners. Referring to the 30-day action plan, also known as Palle Pragathi, the Minister said that it has given a new look to the gram panchayats. "The government will construct buildings for those gram panchayats that facilitate dumping yards and graveyards," he said.

In another development, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelly Dayakar Rao and Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod participated in Ayyappa Swamy's Pamba Arat festival organised by MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy at Narsampet. Devotees including Peddi Sudarshan Reddy took out a rally from Ayyappa Temple in the town to Madannapet tank. Mahabubabad MLA Banoth Shankar Naik, Rural ZP floor Leader Peddi Swapna and ZP Chairperson Akula Srinivas were among others present.
