Yadadri-Bhongir: MLA Gongidi Sunitha advises farmers to sell cotton at CCI centres only

Motakondur (Yadadri-Bhongir): Aler MLA Gongidi Sunitha on Monday advised farmers not to sell their cotton to middlemen at a low price, rather sell the same at CCI centers to get Minimum Supporting Price(MSP) for their produce.

She inaugurated a cotton corporation purchasing center at the Sri Gayatri Cotton Industry located at Katepally village of Motakondur mandal in the district.

Addressing on the occasion, she suggested the cotton farmers to opt CCI purchasing center to get better price to their produce. She told them to bring cotton with 8 to 12 percentage moisture to get MSP.

She urged the managements of the industry to keep the problems of farmers in cultivation of cotton in their mind and extend their cooperation to farmers in all aspects during the purchasing.

Even though the central government ignored the welfare of cotton farmers, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is paying special attention on farmers and providing MSP to their cotton produce by establishing CCI centers across the State.

In this programme, MPP P Indira, ZPTC P Venkat Reddy, Sarpanches Raju, Vinodha, Vijaya, Ravinder Reddy, CCI incharge Kadam , Market secretary Uma Mahesh, local TRS leaders and cotton farmers participated.
