Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy exercised his franchise by voting in the Rajya Sabha election here on Friday.
Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy exercised his franchise by voting in the Rajya Sabha election here on Friday.
So, 110 MLAS voted in the elections.Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu met with the party MLAs in his chamber and held parleys with them.
The TDP MLAs would go for voting probably in the afternoon. Actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna arrived in Amaravati to take part in the election.
Polling was inevitable as five candidates were in the fray for four vacant seats in the state. Ayyodya Ramireddy, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Parimal Natwani, Mopidevi Venkataramana are in fray from YSRCP and Varla Ramaiah from TDP. The polling will be held from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting of votes will begin at 5 pm followed by the resunts to be revealed by the Returning Officer at 6 pm.
In the wake of the Rajya Sabha elections, the main opposition party TDP has issued a Whip to party MLAs. The party has issued a whip to all party MLAs to attend for voting. Notices have also been sent to MLAs Karan Balaramakrishnamurthy, Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Maddhali Giridhar, who have come out of TDP and are closely associated with YSRCP.
