The AP government has issued orders to release the son-in-law of senior leader of the TDP, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, from the state services. The government has canceled the deputation of CH Venkata Gopinath, an IRS official. The government has said that Gopinath is released from the state services at his request. Gopinath asked the government to suspend his deputation until June 26 next year.

Venkata Gopinath is an IRS officer. Gopinath was then accused of corruption. Gopinath has served as Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMS IDC). The company is responsible for the purchase of surgical equipment required for public hospitals as well as maintenance of buildings. These transactions are worth thousands of crores. Gopinath decided to make a friend of APMSIDC MD Nallagonda. He has an office just a short distance from the Hyderabad Secretariat. According to sources in the department, Gopinath is ready to give him a tender, if not comply with the rules.

As a result, the company has gifted an expensive Land Rover to a representative of Yanamala Son in law. While registration of the vehicle the officer could not produce details of his vehicle which led to suspicions that it was definitely a corrupt cash purchase. The cost of the Land Rover car being bought by Chawli Divya ranges from Rs 55 to Rs 65 lakh.

However, Gopinath who was in state services has to move to central services due to the charges.
