AP Municipal Elections 2021 Live Updates: Srikakulam district records 71.52% polling till 5 PM
AP Municipal Elections 2021 Live Updates: All set for the municipal elections in Andhra Pradesh and the State Election Commission has made all the arrangements with authorities are prepped up for the conduct of polling on Wednesday in a total of 12 municipalities, 71 municipalities and city panchayats in the state. The SEC first gave notification to 75 municipal and city panchayats in the state and the municipalities of Pulivendula in Kadapa district, Punganur in Chittoor district, Macharla and Piduguralla in Guntur district have already been unanimous. Meanwhile, as many as 78,71,272 people will use their right to vote on Wednesday from 7 am to 5 pm.
More than half of the total 7,915 polling stations are located in troubled areas and police have been heavily deployed. A total of 48,723 government employees will be using the services for polling. Counting will take place on March 14.

Dull voting in pilgrim city
About 18 percent polling reported in the pilgrim city at 11 am.
The polling which started on a dull note however picked up after 10 am.
Despite high voltage campaign and more divisions of 27 (against the total 50) going to polls the polling was less compared to other municipalities in the district which was evident with 5.4 percent polling at 9 in the morning in the city and also below the expectstions of the political parties.
The polling is going on peacefully except a stray incident of TDP and YSRCP clashing with each other at Rama Naidu Municipal School in Bairagipatteda area of 15th Division in the city leading to police resorting to mild lathi charge to sepate warring groups and restored peace.
