AP Municipal Elections 2021 Live Updates: All set for the municipal elections in Andhra Pradesh and the State Election Commission has made all the arrangements with authorities are prepped up for the conduct of polling on Wednesday in a total of 12 municipalities, 71 municipalities and city panchayats in the state. The SEC first gave notification to 75 municipal and city panchayats in the state and the municipalities of Pulivendula in Kadapa district, Punganur in Chittoor district, Macharla and Piduguralla in Guntur district have already been unanimous. Meanwhile, as many as 78,71,272 people will use their right to vote on Wednesday from 7 am to 5 pm.
More than half of the total 7,915 polling stations are located in troubled areas and police have been heavily deployed. A total of 48,723 government employees will be using the services for polling. Counting will take place on March 14.

Polling starts on a dull note in Nellore
Polling for four municipal towns in the district such as Atmakur, Sullurpet, Naidupet and Venkatagiri has been on a dull note since morning. It registered only 10.49 pc up to 9 am. District Collector KVN Chakradhar Babu said polling process started in all 87 stations and gas been peaceful.

14 per cent polling registered in Prakasam by 9AM
The urban local bodies election in Ongole, Chirala, Chimakurthy, Addanki, Markapur, Giddalur and Kanigiri in Prakasam district is undergoing peacefully, on Wednesday.
The officials announced that by 09.00AM, Ongole municipal corporation registered 14.59 per cent, Chirala municipality 10.73 per cent, Markapur municipality 10 per cent, Addanki nagar panchayat 20.26 per cent, Addanki nagar panchayat 20.26 per cent, Chimakurthy nagar panchayat 17.57 per cent, Kanigiri nagar panchayat 15.70 per cent and Giddalur nagar panchayat registered 14.26 per cent.
The length of the queue lines started reduce from 10.00 AM as the mercury started to rise gradually.
