TRS Working President asks if BJP netas bringing funds for city

Hyderabad : Mocking the BJP for bringing the central leaders of the party for the campaign in Hyderabad, TRS Working President KT Rama Rao on Thursday said that it appears Donald Trump would also come to campaign in the city.

Rama Rao was speaking in a meeting on 'Transforming Hyderabad into a global city' at Nizams Club on Thursday.

He said that the BJP leaders are coming from Delhi to campaign in local elections. "Amit Shahji is coming. Modiji is also coming. It appears Donald Trump will also come to Hyderabad for a campaign," said Rama Rao. He asked the leaders coming from Delhi to first say thanks to the people of Hyderabad for contributing to the development of the country, before saying they have given money to the State. "We are from Telangana... We live here and we will die here. We are not tourists coming from Delhi. Decide if you want Delhi boys or Galli boys? Think before you ink," said Rao.

Rama Rao said that the right wing policies and left wing economy was dangerous for the country. "They involve in Hindu Muslim politics. They show Muslims as the enemies of the country." On Hyderabad and its growth, Rao said, "A city is not about a few concrete structures. It is about having an inherent soul, culture, heritage, and vibe that go with people. Hyderabad is a rare and unique city which has an old world charm and a new age vibrancy."

On the question of Rohingyas, Rao asked, "if there were infiltrators in the country, what was Raksha Mantri doing? It's a slap in BJP government's face. I openly challenge the opposition leaders to come for a debate with us on policies, economy and jobs. I'm sure nobody will come. All they know is to create and flame communal differences," he said.

The TRS leader said that one side there was leadership with decisive policies and another side there was divisive politics and added do not get carried away by propaganda. Attacking the opposition, he said those who ruled for 60-70 years are now pointing fingers at TRS. 60 years of mismanagement cannot be undone in six years.
