Computers, records in civil supplies office gutted

Nellore: Computers, records and furniture were gutted in a fire mishap at civil supplies office in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The office is located in the Collectorate complex here. Residents, who are residing near the Collectorate, have alerted the fire service personnel, after noticing smoke emanating from first and second floors of the three-storey building. Computers and records were reduced to ashes by the time fire fighters arrived and doused flames.

In-charge Collector A Md Imtiyaz visited the office building and enquired about the extent of damage. The police officials are suspecting the fire mishap might have taken place due to short circuit. Imtiyaz directed the R&B officials to inspect the building and submit a report.
