Kakinada: Deputy Speaker in Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad called for public patronage to fine arts besides safe guarding the cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh. Participating in the centenary celebrations of Young Men’s Happy club of Kakinada which promotes theatre arts, the Deputy Speaker assured to revive the three - Sangeeta Nataka, Sahitya and Cultural academies in this direction.

On the occasion he complimented the club for sustaining the cultural heritage for 100 long years Veteran theatre and movie artiste Gollapudi Maruti Rao said that the 100 years of the club itself an indication of existence of theatre arts in theregion.

He observed that the necessary changes are to be made to sustain the interest of public in theatre arts in the changed scenario.

Mandali felicitated veteran artistes Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Phanibushna Sarma, Akella Suryanarayana, Krishnaveni, Santa Rao and others.
