Kurnool: The ACB sleuths caught the Chagalamarri mandal revenue surveyor red-handed on Sunday while accepting bribe of Rs. 4,000 from a farmer to survey his agriculture land. According to ACB DSP Jayaram Raj, Upendra is working as a surveyor in revenue department at Chagalamarri mandal.

He was said to have demanded bribe of Rs.10000 from a farmer SM Shareef for surveying his lands at Chagalamarri village.
The farmer who was not in a position to satisfy his demand settled it for Rs.4000. In the meantime he approached and complained to ACB officials at Kurnool against the mandal surveyor about his demand.

After going through the statement of SM Shareef, the ACB officials hatched a plan to trap the tainted officer.As planned they first sent the farmer to the surveyor with the notes given by them and trapped Upendra while accepting the notes at Tahsildar office in Chagalamarri on Sunday.

Case was registered and the officer was taken into custody and produced in ACB court, stated the ACB DSP.
